Insilicos Wins Grant
Seattle, 26 June 2003 - The National Science Foundation has awarded Insilicos an STTR grant to study the application of multidimensional separations of metabolomics to analysis of microbial cell metabolism.
Insilicos president Erik Nilsson is Principal Investigator (PI) on the grant. Professor Robert Synovec of the University of Washington is co-PI. Insilicos' research collaborators for this grant are the Synovec Lab and the Lidstrom Lab at the University of Washington.
"We're glad the NSF saw merit in our approach," said Nilsson. "This is a big vote of confidence."
"In this research, we hope to establish relationships between measurements of the metabolome, the proteome, and the genome," said Insilicos Chief Scientist Bryan Prazen. "We are exploring new analytical techniques, with applications to research, medicine, and industry"
