Insilicos Names Heinecke to Chief Medical Advisor Post
Seattle, 30 April 2007 - Biomedical software firm Insilicos today announced that Jay Heinecke, M.D. has joined Insilicos' Scientific Advisory Board with the title of Chief Medical Advisor.
Dr. Heinecke is a Professor in the University of Washington Department of Medicine and a member of the Molecular Cell Biology program of the School of Medicine. He holds the Karasinski Chair in Metabolic Research and serves as Director of the Mass Spectrometry Resource for the UW Department of Medicine. Research in the Heinecke laboratory focuses on the role of oxidative reactions in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis and other inflammatory diseases.
